We have a King-sized bed with doggie stairs, so they can come and go as they want. There is a satin pillow down at the bottom of the bed, and sometimes one (or both) of them will sleep on that. However, a goodly portion of the time I'll wake up in the morning and find that they have snuggled into the hammock at the bottom of the bed. After climbing into bed a few times, the mattress scoots all the way up to the headboard, leaving a gap at the bottom between the mattress and the footboard. Usually the comforter falls in between, making a nice little sling/hammock, a perfect little snuggle place.

They always want to BE with us, but not necessarily ON us. Actually, because we're very sound sleepers, their choice of sleeping area is very safe for them.
