To the second poster, I think I made this same point to you in another group.
I'm not saying thta either of you are bad people for wanting to breed your boys or that your boys aren't very nice dogs.
But to the second poster I believe you said your boy was 10.5 pounds and that is far from what the standard is.
I really think you should both look into what is involved in breeding Yorkies before you jump the gun ( so to speak ). There is a whole lot more to it than putting two Yorkies together and hoping for the jackpot litter.
Neither one of you say anything about your dogs bloodlines, structure, coat color or texture. Nothing about how their bite is, do thier ears stand and are they set correctly on their heads? How are they're top lines? Have you had the needed testing done to be sure that there are no silent problems going on such as liver shunts, heart problems, had their eyes and knees checked?
Have you studied their bloodlines to be sure you know what is behind them?
What is their temperment like? There are many more questions I could put before you but these are just the first ones that I would ask of anyone if I had to use an outside stud.
IMO if you can't say yes to these questions and show that your babies are good enough to improve upon the breed then they should just remain being loyal and truely loved pets.
Cuteness does not mean great puppies, you really need to know what is in the back ground and even then it isn't 100 percent. Many people are of the mind that they can make money just because the Yorkie is so popular right now... NOTHING COULD BE FARTHER FROM THE TRUTH IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO THINGS THE CORRECT WAY AND NOT JUST FLY BY NIGHT.
Anyone can breed dogs, this statement is sadly far too true, it takes alot of dedication, love, expense and heart break to breed sound, healthy quality dogs. JMHO
