Mizbrown is correct. They do not like to pee and poop in the same place. What I find is that pee pads are too small for them to have their pee and poo on one piece. My Pao never overlaps his poo on his pee and always need "more" space. I ended up using newspaper to overlap the peepad. So he pees on the pad and poo on the newspaper but when he needs to scoot and walk while he is doing "it", a little bit of it will end up on the floor as well (sorry for being graphic lol). Usually, I just bring him out to do his poop and when he is home, he is good and uses his pee pad for pee.

Edited to add: Mine will refuse to use his pee pad if there is a lot of pee on it so I have to change it every few hours. Talk about being fussy.
