 Yorkie and kids
My yorkie, Rocky, does not like my grandaughter and she has known him all his life. She is now 7 years old. I think he is just jealous. He is fine when she first arrives but after that I cannot trust him with her. Last time she was at my house I thought he might bite her so I do not encourage her getting too close to him. I try to keep them separated. He will gladly let her give him a treat but that does not mean I would trust him near her, especially her face. I think small dogs sometimes just do not feel comfortable with children. He is fine with adults. I wonder if that is why some are given up to rescue.
