I have a question about dogs and salmonella. I have read on here that people have fed their dogs once in awhile a raw chicken leg. Chicken is known to contain salmonella and when cooked properly the strain dies. Well how come a dog can eat raw chicken ok but salmonella in treats can make them ill? I know there are differnet strands of salmonella so is the one found in raw chicken ok for dogs? I have read somewhere that dogs cannot get salmonella. Im sure this is not true though now.
