I have heard lots of bad things about Royal Canine. If you are going to Petco, they have some pretty good choices. Wellness, Natural Balance and Halo are pretty good. All are better than RC, I believe. If you want to do even better, find a place that sells brands like Innova, Natures Variety, Merrick.
