AKC is the oldest registry in the US.
But as with any it of any of the registration (record keepers) AKC,CKC,ACA,APR,APRI.
Registries are only as good and honest as those breeders breeding.
Papers can be falsified in any of them.
None guarantees you will receive a healthy dog.
AKC is Not the only one to offer dog shows.
APRI also does Dog Shows.
They judge a dog on it’s own merit and how well it fits the standard.
They do not pit dogs against dogs as AKC does or award the dog points by
who's standing at the other end of the lead.
Most show breeders are honest but you can also find some who are not so honest.
Best thing to do is know your breeder well, be it Pet, Hobby or Show breeder . |
