Jake was a year old when we brought Jackson home. We took Jake with us to get Jackson so they could be introduced on neutral ground first. Jake didn't seem that phased. Then, we got home and it was a different story. Jake wouldn't have anything to do with me for a few days because he was jealous. I just kept giving him lots of attention and tried not to pay more attention to one than the other. I also made sure to have times for just me and Jake. He's such a mommy's boy, I felt he needed that time with me alone. It has worked out great. They are buddies now and play so well together. They have ALOT of fun. Jake isn't jealous of Jackson at all now, however, Jackson is very jealous of Jake....and anyone else I pay attention to lol. He's not jealous of my 2 grandchildren who are 4 and 6, but he's jealous of my 6-mo-old granddaughter. He will bark for my attention, I tell him no and ignore him, and he settles down. Then, I reward him for being a good boy.
I love having two, it's so much fun. They play together and nap together, although it did take awhile before they would cuddle up together. Now, they are inseparable. They keep each other amused if I'm busy. I don't have to leave them very often, but when I do, they are fine together. Having two has been so much fun, that I'll be adding a third soon.
