I'm learning a lot about the USA now!! My geography of even the UK is not good and of course i know nothing about peoples' attitudes towards different parts etc - sounds silly to me!! Suppose we do it here too but no-one should ever generalize should they?!!
Re taking dogs out of the country - within Europe we have a complicated system - dog passports- all dogs have to be microchipped, blood tests, rabies shots etc etc and a lot of red tape. Dread to think if we wanted to bring one over to the USA - think quarantine still exists then, quite sure actually - poor doggies!! Ana xx
