I just wanted to know from you breeders a little more about heat cycles. When you have a bitch that is showing signs of coming into 'season', when do you notice that the stud, or any male dog begins to take an interrest in her? (such as:
only when she is in standing heat, or before that, like when she is getting puffy, or even when she's bleeding but not in standing heat) I have a female who is getting swollen and I am presuming pre-bleeding, and if I cannot pinpoint to the day when she begins bleeding then I was wondering if you can just let a male tell you when. (My male is a 100 pound mutt and I am sure he will soon show interrest, but does that mean she's bleeding?) P.S.-Don't worry, I am not going to be breeding the 100 pound male to her!
