Good question.

I paid $390 for a neuter in NJ. I think this is on the extreme high side from what I've since learned. The pre-op blood work was extra. However, if I recall correctly, the local SPCA would have performed the neuter for around $150. I reasoned that you get what you pay for, so I went high.
