If your guy's temperament improved, then consider yourself lucky. You are in the small minority on that one as it is generally not the case.
As far as making money, usually those who are in breeding only for the money will find a way to profit. Either by skipping on health tests, costs of evaluations, overcharging, etc. Where there is a will, there is a way.

I'm not trying to discourage anyone, just encouraging others to consider ALL the possibilities. It's not all roses and sunshine and the perfect atrological alignment that you have described.
