Not sure about that. My friend has all tile and wood floors. I imagine that since it has a higher power setting, it could be used for carpet or rugs. I know with my Shark, I use it on my few rugs but that seems to suck the charge pretty quickly.
I was really hoping someone on here would have one of these or know someone who does. The reviews on Amazon are good but on the Costco site (where I'm getting it - for $90) there are a fewer recent ones that aren't as great.
