As I say, I haven't been quick enough to witness if there was straining (but I guess there probably was - I know I would have, if mine had been that hard!)
Her diet is pretty good, although she refuses to eat kibble (always has). She loves veg and apples, and her very favourite is celery (de-stringed first!) She's on good quality (vet recommended) wet food, and this constipation came out of nowhere. A friend suggested that it might have been a result of her being spayed about 10 days previously - maybe delayed effects / build up? Anyway - problem solved for now, but I'm definitely going to have to source canned pumpkin - any UK members know where I can get it, because I've never seen it before? |
