Oops, tried to edit but ran out of time. When your hands are no longer sensitive you might want to look into lotions containing AHAs. I've been using Amlactin on my dry winter feet which has lactic acid and it really helps a lot with cell turn over (which is what you're looking for). Supposedly you can buy it at drugstores but I had to order from drugstore.com. Just check labels for alpha hydroxy acid (or specifically glycolic acid or lactic acid).
