I read that dogs will work out who is pack leader, and you should not interfer. I let my dogs work stuff out... never had to break up a fight. I watched as there was growling, wrestleing, and they did work it out. (Not fighting ever) I did tell chewy no if he tried to mount Sadie. They are a year apart.

It sounds like your older pup is trying to let the younger pup know he is the boss....I wold let them be as long as there is no fighting or hurting.

When I wasn't right there I did put the pup in an expen till she was bigger and could hold her own. I didn't trust them together alone right away.
