I suffered from some Eczema caused by hormone and the hot water after having my son several years ago. When I consulted the dermatologist he told me that after a bath do not rub your skin dry, use the towel to blot your skin. When you rub it there is damage done to the skin. He also suggested either using baby oil on your skin while it's damp or just be sure to immediately lotion up your skin.

Good luck..I am ashy and itchy too
All of this! My mom uses Cetaphil daily, I always joke with her and tell her she should just bathe in the lotion instead of using soap. Her dermatologist recommended it to her and it's the only lotion she can use. He also told her to get in and out of the shower as the heat dries out your skin soooo bad.
