They should have a Rabies shot at 4 months and then a three year Rabies shot a year later. Rabies shot shouldn't hurt them since it's not a live vaccine. There are wild critters like squirrel's, gophers, mice and such that could very well bite your baby when it's playing in the yard, and you wouldn't know if that animal carried Rabies. I wouldn't take chances.
