I can't tell much from the pic. It could be just a little wart that'll go away, but so hard to say. If it's not bothering him, maybe wait just a bit? What do you mean it flakes off?

Hey, I looked at your dogster - and the pic of your 2 dogs spooning is AWESOME! I had a gorgeous chow years ago, he was hit by a car after our neighbors left our gate open

. I love chow chows.
