I hear you! That was the scenario here too... What I'm doing now is that I take my sweet time to get them ready with a bit of brushing even. I noticed that I was stressed out already when I was only thinking about walkies time. Now I take a few deep breaths before I start and don't pay attention to the fur butts. It's also much better when we come home. Sometimes I leave the harnesses on for a time and take them off when they come to me to snuggle...
