My pups and mom go back to the vet on Wednesday and I will discusse this with him further. I hope he may have more information on this for me. I am also going to call the vet I use for emergencies.
My pups are now just about 2 weeks old and when it struck last time was at about 6 weeks. They had just started to go outside with mom and enjoy a little sun when the first one went limp and would not respond. I thought something had bitten him and called the vet immediately. I washed him in cool water and he seem to revive. The next day we had to evacuate becuase of the hurrican and that evening the same thing happen but the puppy never got better this time. I called the vet but of course he had animals to take care of and had to get his self out of harms way so by the time I was able to see him the first puppy had died.
The second started acting the same way and I was able to get him in right away and the test showed positive for cocidisas.......
I didn't even know what it was and the vet said it was quite comman and he was surprised I never had it before.

In my heart I am sure it is because of the birds that were coming in the yard because that is the only difference I can see in the last year.
