No need to defend yourself if you fit into the former category and not the latter. But there are people that look up the symptoms on the internet and keep complaining about them until the Dr gives them the medication.

It's true, BUT how if someone comes up to you (not you specifically) and says I think I have this problem, how can you just say "suck it up you're over diagnosing it" when there really could be a problem? I don't think people realize how dangerous it could really be if it is real. Sometimes people just need someone to listen and try to understand, but not automatically dismiss it.
