mine will go outside sometimes but that's only when i can get her outside (i cant now bc of snow), and even then she will never bark by the door to let me know she has to go. she will just go when i am not looking and find it later when i step in it.

there have been some other theads on crate training i recommend you to read through. Crate training does work but you will have to let them whine, if they know they can control you they will. I know the whining is very fustrating but so is the bad behavior.

trust me mine whined also. But when he saw I paid no attention to it and he couldn't come out until he stopped, he changed his TUNE real quick.
