I doubt it is reasonably priced also.
As for pottying on the pads, it just does not work. Ever. I started out putting the puppy pad in one certain place at first and it only worked for a short time then she started going all over the house so I spread them out in more rooms and she doesn't even care, she will just tear them up and the supposed sticky places on them do not even stick to our carpet for anything so that is just one more hassle to deal with. I have tried leaving her in a room with the puppy pads until she went in the morning but she held it for hours and shook like a leaf so I tried taking her outside, ... didn't happen. So after an hour in the cold outside, she came in the house and pooped and peed on the carpet. I just don't know what to do, she doesn't understand anything.
No, after everything I have to take care of for myself, my home, bills, vets, groomers, etc. I can't afford cable. I've read some yorkie training books and website and have tried it all but it doesn't even work a LITTLE bit. | here is what I did: First I would limit your baby to one room, the whole house is to much space for pottytraining. I put a pen in the kitchen, they have some pretty good size pens at Petsmart. The PEN also has a door, I put the crate at the opening so he could go in there when he wanted to. Now I put a potty pad in there but my boy also ripped them up so I bought the washable kind. This worked great. Now a dog will not nomally pee or poop where they sleep. So I placed the food and water in the pen by the crate. and I put the potty pad on the other side of the PEN. So the only place he really had to go potty was his pad. The rest of the PEN was used for playing and eating. I also had to crate train my boy for this to be successful. I kept him in the crate when he slept and when I had to work. I personally did not want my boy to become dependant on the potty pad, so I took him out after every meal and told him to POTTY. after he picked this up I took the potty pad away, but I took him out quite a bit. Now during the potty training phase I never let him out without being monitored. And this is why it is good idea to not let them have full roam of the house at this age. I would also recommend before you let him run around the house to be taken outside to do his business first. My boy is now almost 4 and is fully trained and has full run of the house. I also found the PEN a good way to teach them not to chew on everything at such a young age. Good Luck |
