These little guys get into everything, don't they!! They love to tear and shred and put everything in their mouths. I, personally, wouldn't want him chewing on the cat toys, especially the ones with cat nip in them. I can imagine it will be hard to keep him away, but perhaps you can put the basket up out of reach. Of course, that doesn't help if the cat has left a toy on the floor, but it would be a start.
