I've always had cats and I read somewhere that if it's an inside cat it can live up to 16 years, if they live outside their life span is 6-8 years. Although we had an outside cat that lived 13 years. He would still be here if this pack of dogs down the road hadn't attacked him in the middle of the night. The one i have now is inside and she's only 3.
