Most people recommend waiting until the male is at least a year old before using them for breeding. Since your male is only 3 months old you will have plenty of time to research all the ins and outs of breeding. You won't be able to tell if your male is suitable for breeding until he gets a little older. Keep in mind that using males for breeding does change their personality a bit. Most males will start marking a lot, especially if they are in the same house with a female in heat. You have to keep the male and female separated when the female is in heat and the barking and whining can get pretty serve racking.

Breeding can be very rewarding but it also comes with a lot of responsibility and sometimes a lot of heartache.
