Do be careful, your dog is older and once they have pancreatitis they are prone to get it again. My dog had chronic pancreatitis from the age of 3, kept under control until he was 8 years old, it was a real problem for the last two years of his life, severely limiting what he could eat. He did very well for a long time on this food: http://www.thehonestkitchen.com/verve.htm
He had to have things well cooked so it didn't irritate his system, so I would mix the above food with one egg, and add a jar of Strained chicken and Vegetables (Gerber), and bake it up like a brownie. He loved this diet, and much healthier and tastier than the dry prescription diets that he had before.
Good luck with your little one, pancreatitis is scary and painful! | |
