Mine has done it a couple of times over the years. When do you feed him? Mine often finally finishes her dinner around bedtime (10:00) but usually doesn't need to poop during the night. Have you taken him out before you go to bed and told him to poop? Just a thought? Don't know if I have an answer other than it has happened on occasion.
