I use a Nonfat dry milk fortified with vitamins A&D. It is easier for me to bake with dry milk. I keep a box of it to use in cooking when I am out or running low on 2% milk. It is convenient for me but you could probably use regular milk if you prefer too. The recipe works really well with the dry milk though.
