I am BiPolar too, and my Dr. will tell me that there's no set rules in treating the disease. I can't tell you how many different types of meds I've tried. Now I search through WebMd whenever they give me a new med to make sure it's safe. I also go to a pain Dr., and we received a letter from the plan we use for meds saying he was giving us meds that didn't go together. It's sad, but you can't just trust your Doctors opinions. You have to be you own self advocate.
