We have leash laws so I have no choice but to use a leash. Even if there wasn't a law, I would definitely still use one since there is so much traffic in Chicago and Stewie enjoys running in the street at any opportunity he gets.
I'd say that he likes the leash. It took some getting used to for him; when he was a puppy he would plant all four feet and just look at me and not move when I put it on him.
He started walking decently on it at about 5 months old (about the same time it started warming up into Spring-like weather in Chicago; I think that had something to do with him being cooperative).
