Cooper got a tick on his nose once and we removed it. It then kinda swelled and was red a few days afterward. We took him to the vet, she double-checked the head was out with a magnifying glass (it was) and she told us to put neosporin on it and it should heal. If you know you got the head, you might try the neosporin.
