Here on YT you will see plenty of large AND small yorkies both sick and healthy. When they are small you have to be more careful and watch over them a lot more. The thing that drives people crazy about the teacup word is when people say it to either make it seem that their dogs are better than other peoples OR to get more money out of a pup.
What an adorable picture. :-) I had a photo of Violet in a "teacup" too, which was really a small bowl. My photographer friend did it as a present for me. I read somewhere that "teacup" is descriptive for Yorkies, 4 lbs or smaller. People always ask me if Violet is a "teacup" Yorkie (she is 4lbs). And I alway answer, "She is a small Yorkie. There is really no breed classification called "teacup"". Then they look at me as if I'm a yorkie snob. lol. I love all Yorkies, big or small.
