Interesting. I dont see anything wrong with obedience before a dog is shown but I guess its just a matter of opinion.

Puppy kindergarten really isnt obedience as much as it is socialization anyways.

From my perspective, the dog has to be a well socialized member of the family before their obligation as a show dog--after all sometimes even the most promising pup doesnt turn out the way we'd like them to. I know plenty of people who show in conformation and obedience at the same time (the dogs understand the difference by the different gear that is used) and have no problems.

Heehee...I think the ob world has really rubbed off on me--its such a different environment and almost contagious.
