Chloe will not keep a bow in her hair (unless we are out and she is walking and distracted) She rubs her head on anything to get it out. So I started using just hairbands. I put her hair in a ponytail and then I put a bow in and then take it out and put it on the table and put her down , most times she wont care that the rubber band is in her hair ( i give lots of praise ) and she thinks she has gotten away with something by only having the band in
I am working my way up to keeping the bows in once she is use to the bands. Of course there are the times she figures out she hates the bands just as much as the bows and she is a total mess trying to get it out
But I just keep at it.
Also when we are going out for our walk (which she loves !)I always put a bow in right before we put her harness on to go out the door , so she associates it with something good...she does not care at that point that the bow is in there at all ....atleast till we get back home
