I have the PetFlys size small carrier for Sissy who is just under 5 lbs. I can't imagine cramming her into the xsmall one for any length of time. Guess it depends on what you'll be using the carrier for. Sissy is also small - 9.5" long and only 9" tall, but she would never be able to stand or turn around in the XS, though she can in the small.
