I've used this Conair trimmer for sanitary and ear trims for over two years on both of mine (and numerous foster kids) and it hasn't dulled yet. It wouldn't work to well if you're going to do major hair trimming but just the sanitary/ear trim - it works fine.
ETA: It is battery operated and I use the rechargeables.
