My husband works shift so she is only in the bathroom about 2 days a week for 7 hours. She has a pee pad, bed and toys. She is startign to do horrible. She has scratched sheetrock off of a corner, scratched the door frame and chewed a dresser knob. The bathroom is gated off to only half. The behavior in the bathroom is a whole different story. |
I recommed a PEN. The first time my boy chewed on the baseboard I had a fit. So I went to the store and bought a pen. I kept him in there his first year. The pen's are a pretty good size and they have a door, at the door I put his crate. So he had plenty of room for a baby his size. When he was out I monitored him at all times. I also have him plenty of chew toys and that is what I allowed him to chew on. I never had a problem with him chewing on anything again. By the time he didn't need the pen anymore he was done teeting and no longer needed to chew on everything.

I kept my pen and crate in my kitchen. For me it worked so well. Yea, i had this pen in my kitchen for a year but my house wasn't destroyed and he learned he couldn't chew everything, which can be dangerous for these guys. Now he is 3 and has full run of the house even when I am not home.
Good Luck!
