Default Does your dog go to the pee pads on her own when she is out of her xpen?

Then you can expand her area of freedom to another room but as soon as she starts squatting shoo her into the room with her pads. There's nothing more rewarding than seeing it 'click' in their heads - they'll be playing and all of a sudden you see them run to the next room where their pad is, go potty, and then come back to play
Yes, I am picking her up and taking her there when I think or see she has to go. I put her on the pads & say "go potty." I usually have her gated in the kitchen when I play w/her and if I see she has to go, that's when I pick her up & take her to the xpen w/pads in it. The xpen is not in the kitchen, it is in my bedroom, so I don't usually gate her in there, because of the carpet. There isn't room in the kitchen for the xpen. I also have her on a schedule so that she should pee on the pads & not when she is out of her crate or xpen. Anyhow...Your idea sounds good, I just don't want her to pee on the carpet if I can't shoo her into the xpen quick enough. Possibly it would work though if I can actually get her to go in there without picking her up & putting her on the pads. Thanks for the input!
