Actually, I guess if you have a female and had her spaded I would be interested in finding out what it costs.

First of all, you're a funny girl! We need some of that north-of-the-border humor around here!
I really don't have a clue what it costs. A young healthy male with a simple neuter should be about one of the least expensive surgeries around, I would think. Only one word, I would make sure all of his baby teeth are out before you go ahead with the neuter. If he retains some, they can be pulled at the same time and you'll only have to put him under once.
They have low-cost clinics here in the US that are advertised in local doggie newspapers and at pet stores, etc.
You will need to find a vet you trust at any rate, so I would call around and ask about prices, etc. If you have friends with dogs, ask them about who they see.

PS (I think neuter is generally less expensive than a spay, but not sure about that.)
