I give Walker the whole leg even though he doesn't eat it. He regulates his food really well so its never been a problem for us. He gets whole thighs, drumsticks, etc. Currently he's working on a whole guinea fowl. It'll take him about 3-4 days to make it through the entire guinea hen. He has never had a rpoblem with anything being "too big." He's on the bigger end though and weighs 11 pounds at 5 months. It may be different with a smaller pup.
There are others that are much more knowledgable than I though.
