Thanks for all your suggestions and advice. I called the vet this week, went in on Fri. In the 3 wks since we got her, Coco has lost weight, and she only weights 1 pound. He didn't give her shots, but treated her twice this week for worms, and told me to continue her coccidia med. The vet put the worm pill in a "pill pouch" and she went crazy for that treat, so he gave her some more and she gobbled them up. Sometimes she eats, and will go crazy for something, but when we offer it later she won't eat it. I just dont understand. I looked through all the new threads and this seems pretty common in this type of dog. We gave her some special high-calorie canned food yesterday afternoon and she ate like she was starving (which she is), but when we tried it again last night and this morning, she didn't really want it. Yesterday was the most active she's been, almost like a different puppy. |
