What I find incredibly frustrating is that they both contain flaxseed. To me, this ingredient has no business in an allergy formula and it just confounds me that it's included in not only allergy formulas, but in so many foods in general. There are many dogs who just cannot convert it - and *boom* you have yet another source of itchiness and irritation to add to the mix.
Very true about the flax. They also are unable to utilize part of the fatty acids found in flaxseed, so they really don't get the benefit of it that say we would. It frustrates me they have it in dog food at all, it's in what I feed, but I wish it weren't.

I used the Natural Balance as kibble before I went raw, and Ranger did really well on it. I think if you have a simple allergy to grains or a specific protein, it's a great option. Good luck!
