Animal Smiley 049 Thank you SO much Linda!

Dear Linda, thank you So very much for your reply. I did bring Zoe to a vet school and they did an ultrasound on her by a specialist who found nothing in terms of a shunt and said that Zoe's liver was normal in size. Her bile acid test then, at 4 months were -3 and -82. Her BUN level was also elevated somewhat. The vet insisted she had some kind of liver problem, most probably MVD. I have been reseaching these disease since march. Zoe needed her teeth cleaned and we went to the vet 2 weeks ago and the vet insisted I have another acid bile test done and Zoe's results were -36 and normal after eating (-10). I told my vet that Zoe ate within 8 hours before the test since she went behind my back into her bag of food... That was probably why her fasting lever was high. All her pre-anesthesia blood work was perfect, only the elevated fasting bile acid because she hadn't been fasting for 12 hours... I am thinking that probably she is fine... I will wait a couple of months and repeat the test when she has truly fasted... Zoe has absolutely no clinical signs of liver problems. She's been on Royal Canin Hepatic Diet since March and is doing great. Thank you again for your reply and I'm SO happy Emily is doing well!
