I use both clippers and scissors on his ears. I use clippers to shave the front and back of his ears and then scissors to clean up the tips and get a neat, straight edge. He's pretty good with staying still, so I never really worried about nicking him. I think I might take a little break from the scissors for a while. Can you trim a neat edge with clippers? I wasn't sure if you could use it on the edge/side of the ear
