While it's nice it might not be so healthy as he can probably develop a touch of seperation anxiety. I would suggest trying to get him involved in playing with a bone or toy when you have things to do....that way he is not solely dependent on you for all of his needs. I know right now he needs love because his family dynamics has changed but just be careful that you don't turn him into a monster.
