I use one... I live out in the county and we have paths and fields on our property... It seem I have more control with it... when Im down in our field, I give him more to run and he sure does, but when we walk up in the road he dont to go very long he stays right by my side.
I bought one at wal mart and like it but I also bought one at harbor freight for my other dog and like it to.. I like the round cords v the flat ones... they did have a recall on some of those leashes so be sure to check ...hope this helps
