 Crate Training Questions
We are crate training Krissy so that I am able to keep from losing my mind. I had a hard time watching her very good while doing homework and cooking. The crate is great. It takes a lot of the strss out of it plus I think Krissy likes it because she gets away from my 4 yr old!
We are also using the bell for going outside. I am wandering at what point do you try them out to see if they are getting it? She still hasa few accidents when my husband has her because he leaves her out of the kennel to long.
She will be 4 months this weekend. I have been doing the crate for about 4 weeks now. We are not giving her treats outside but do praise her when she potties. I have just never had a small breed dog and sisnt' realize it takes so long. We have had her for 2 months.
On some days when my husband is working day shift she is in the bathroom and uses the pads for about 6 hours. She will not use the pads when we are home and she sleeps in the crate at night and never wakes us up. We let her out when husband get home from night shift, leaves, or when I leave so she is in the crate from 930 to no later than 530.
