Dogs can be constipated, yes, but I would not be concerned just because of one missed stool. If it continues longer than a day or two take him to the vet.

If the lack of stools is accompanied by lethargy, lack of appetite, or vomiting, definitely take the little guy to see a vet IMMEDIATELY. Sometimes it is only constipation, but not having stools can also be a symptom of more serious things like a foreign body obstruction, which could be fatal if left untreated.
